This is a 9 meter resolution dataset representing terrain slope in degrees. The original elevation dataset is synthesized from 6 airborne laser scanning (LiDAR) datasets collected from August 2016 to August 2023. The data extent covers the declared forest boundary of the Grand Mesa, Uncompaghre, and Gunnison National Forests in western Colorado, USA. To generate this 9 meter resolution dataset, the original 3 meter resolution slope data was aggregated to a 9 meter grid using the mean value of 3 meter cells using the gdalwarp program, version 3.8. These datasets were generated by Ian Breckheimer (ikb@rmbl.org) and Rachel Crafford at Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory on behalf of the US Forest Service.
