Procedure from a recent peer-reviewed implementation

Steps below were extracted from the most recent peer-reviewed implementation of this protocol in the corpus — Cold-season precipitation sensitivity to microphysical parameterizations: hydrologic evaluations leveraging snow lidar datasets (2024), Journal of Hydrometeorology. Implementations in other papers (listed below) may differ.

1. High-resolution Noah-MP offline simulation
Force high-resolution 250m dx/dy offline Noah-MP land surface model using WRF meteorological outputs bilinearly interpolated to 250-m grid. Adjust temperature, pressure, and specific humidity for terrain differences between WRF digital elevation model and high-resolution elevation model distributed by ASO.
Quantities: 250m horizontal grid spacing, terrain adjustments appliedDuration: Full simulation periods for both water yearsConditions: Terrain-corrected meteorological forcing
Equipment: Noah-MP land surface model, ASO digital elevation model
