Method synopsis

Construction of phylogenetic-like trees based on DNA methylation patterns rather than sequence data. Uses correlation-based dissimilarity measures applied to methylation profiles.

Synthesized from method descriptions across 1 paper using this protocol.

1. Phyloepigenetic tree construction
Constructed phyloepigenetic trees using 1-cor dissimilarity matrix applied to mean cytosine methylation values per species. Generated tissue-specific phyloepigenetic trees for blood-based (124 species), liver (158 species), and skin (133 species) samples.
Quantities: 124 species for blood, 158 for liver, 133 for skinDuration: Not specifiedConditions: Computational analysis
