1. Perform EXAFS spectroscopy
   Lead L₃-edge extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) spectra were collected at the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource (SSRL) at beamlines 7-3, 9-3, and 11-2. Samples were ground to a fine paste and pressed into aluminum sample holders, which were sealed with Kapton tape. Samples were stored in an anaerobic chamber (95% N₂, 5% H₂ atmosphere) until transfer to a liquid helium cryostat at the beamline.
