1. Field survey of natural streams
   During late July, estimated abundance of predatory fish and invertebrate grazers in 30-m reaches in 10 streams in 1997 and eight different streams in 1998 in East River catchment north of RMBL. Half reaches were fishless, half contained brook trout.
