Method synopsis

Weekly monitoring of flagged individual plants for morphological traits (height, rosette diameter, branching, fruit number) and phenological stage using a 5-point scale from rosette to senescence. Includes density monitoring using quadrat sampling.

Synthesized from method descriptions across 1 paper using this protocol.

Typical Equipment

• measuring tape for transects
• plant flags
• 1m² quadrat
• measuring tools for height and diameter

Output Measurements

• plant height
• rosette diameter
• branch number
• fruit count
• phenological stage
• population density
