Abstract

The Fruitland Mesa Project was authorized by the Congress in 1964 as a participating unit of the Colorado River Storage Project. A principal feature of the project is the Soap Park Dam to be located on Soap Creek in Gunnison County about thirteen miles north of Sapinero, Colorado.
