This is a 9 m resolution dataset representing the (log transformed) overland flow accumulation or upstream contributing area. The values represent the natural log of the upslope contributing area in square meters, with low values representing topographic ridges or divergent features, and high values representing streams, footslopes, and other convergent features. The original elevation dataset is synthesized from 6 airborne laser scanning (LiDAR) datasets collected from August 2016 to August 2023. The data extent covers the declared forest boundary of the Grand Mesa, Uncompaghre, and Gunnison National Forests in western Colorado, USA. The LiDAR elevation data was composited with a lower resolution elevation dataset (USGS National Elevation Dataset DEM) before processing with the wbt_flow_accumulation_full_workflow module in Whitebox Tools GIS using default settings for breaching depressions and the D8 routing algorithm to accumulate flow.
