The purpose of this project is to document how non-native dandelions (Taraxacum officinale) affect plant-pollinator communities near RMBL. Jones (2004) tested if dandelions compete for pollinators with Delphinium nuttallianum, by removing dandelion flower heads from experimental plots. Although dandelions did not depress D. nuttallianum seed-set, Jones? (2004) study provides a unique opportunity to resurvey these plots after 25 years to address several questions as to how dandelions might be competing with native plants for pollinators and altering species interactions. The purpose of this project is to address the following three questions: Has dandelion flower abundance increased over the past 25 years? Do dandelions rewire plant-pollinator visitation networks? Do dandelions alter pollen-transport networks?
