1. Obtain and establish study plants
   Flowering individuals of I. aggregata were obtained from sub-alpine meadows 1 km south of the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory, Gunnison County, CO, USA. F₂ hybrid plants originating from a cross between I. aggregata subsp. aggregata and I. tenuituba were also included.
