1. Specimen sacrifice and dissection
   Females were sacrificed by crushing the ventral nerve and their abdomens were immediately dissected in cold phosphate buffered saline (PBS) to obtain fat body. Fat bodies were placed in 1.5ml microfuge tubes that were previously coated with 3% bovine serum albumin (BSA).
