In this project, I propose to examine how interactions between plants and their insect pollinators vary among individuals and populations of pollinators. I will examine the variety of flowers visited by individual pollinators that belong to multiple species and see if temperature affects these patterns of floral visitation. I will use the pollen on these insects' bodies as a record of these individuals' floral visitation events. I will also examine how genetic similarity and body size measurements affect these patterns of floral visitation and pollen collection in a group of important pollinators -- bumble bees. Finally, I will predict how these patterns of plant-pollinator interaction influence the likelihood of species loss in communities experiencing disturbance events like increased temperatures.
