1. Install monitoring wells
   Three observation wells (PLM1, PLM2, PLM3) were drilled to a depth of 10 m using a track-mounted drill rig with a 0.12 m (4.75 in.) diameter ODEX drilling bit. Wells were equipped with suction lysimeters to carry-out vertically-discrete pore water sampling, pressure transducers to perform daily-measurements of the water table (AquaTROLL 200, exact PLM2 where the water table was determined from equilibrium pressure and moisture measurements), and temperature sensors.
